HOST

Hobart Online Service Training

Hobart Service Training is partnering with a leading internet consulting and education provider to offer e-Learning capabilities for certain training requirements.  The goal is to provide consistent training access to Hobart service personnel anywhere and at any time via a leading edge internet application, HOST (Hobart Online Service Training).  This exciting new training capability will supplement existing training programs.

HOST will benefit Hobart Service Technicians by:

  •  Providing access to service training programs online
  •  Providing access to basic Troy school pre-requisite tests online

HOST incorporates latest e-Learning technology features:

  1. Learner is linked to specific schools by secure login
  2. Delivers interactive content through any media:  text, audio, video, PowerPoint, PDF documents, or links to another website.  High-quality streamed video can be embedded into course content allowing the learner to quickly move to any spot in the video without reloading delays
  3. Learner can take digital notes parallel to course text that he/she can retain
  4. Various learning assessment capabilities with true/false, multiple choice and short answer question options.  To improve results validity, test question content and question/answer sequence can be randomized for every test session and test sessions can be time-limited
  5. Extensive reporting and real time progress monitoring for the learner, his/her management, and Hobart Service Training

HOST has potential to:

  1. Shorten length of basic Troy schools, thereby reducing costs
  2.  Cost-effectively deliver training and/or testing programs for certain pre-requisite, fundamental, new product, advanced or refresher schools
  3. Replace outdated and difficult to consistently deliver video tape/workbook training programs
  4.  Help maintain Hobart Service Training’s leading edge as the standard for the food equipment industry
